NCSS Recommends New Standards
In June 2021, NCSS developed a statement that covers the purpose of creating strong social studies standards, the difference between standards and curriculum, and ways to prepare, develop, implement and support high-quality social studies standards. Learn more.

NCSS is now accepting proposed resolutions for the 65th House of Delegates (HOD) Assembly. Resolutions are the vehicle through which NCSS members can bring issues before the HOD for debate and vote. Resolutions approved by the HOD are brought to the NCSS Board for approval and action. Learn more.
