Apply by May 15.   Get Ready to Learn from These #NCSS100 Speakers Sonia Sotomayor, Associate Justice, was born in Bronx, New York, on June 25, 1954. She earned a B.A. in 1976 from Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude and receiving the university's highest academic honor. In 1979, she earned a J.D. from Yale Law School where she served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal. Dr. Ibram X. Kendi is the author of many highly acclaimed books including Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction, making him the youngest-ever winner of that award. Dr. Keisha N. Blain has published extensively on race, gender, and politics in both national and global perspectives. She is the author of the multi-prize-winning book Set the World on Fire: Black Nationalist Women and the Global Struggle for Freedom. Kanji Yamanouchi is the Ambassador and Consulate General of Japan in New York. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1984, where his main focus has been US-Japan relations.  Representative Bi-khim Hsiao assumed her position as Taiwan’s Representative to the United States in July 2020, after serving as a Senior Adviser to the President at the National Security Council of Taiwan.     Special Panels and Sessions at #NCSS100 NCSS is pleased to include programming to celebrate our centennial alongside timely sessions, panels, and threads.
