NCSS recently became aware that ERIC, a program through the Department of Education that freely disseminates education research broadly to over 14 million users each year is expect to reduce the collection by approximately 45% starting in April. In light of these reductions and as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting elementary educators, NCSS is pleased to offer classroom-ready resources for your elementary classroom, available free here.
The NCSS Nominations and Elections Committee is seeking candidates for Vice-President and for members of the Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 election cycle. Eligibility requirements and submission details can be found here. Nominations are due April 15, 2025.

The 1787 Prize is an annual contest for 11th and 12th graders, recognizing the best student essay on the subject of the U.S. Constitution’s past, present and future relevance. International Assembly Distinguished Global Scholar Award
The NCSS International Assembly (IA) Distinguished Global Scholar Award is presented to a leading scholar in global, transnational, and international education who has dedicated their career to advancing the field. This award recognizes individuals whose work demonstrates:
Extensive scholarship in global education
Active engagement with educational stakeholders, including students, teachers, administrators, and policymakers
Significant contributions to promoting global, transnational, and international education in the United States and beyond
