The College and University Faculty Association (CUFA) Executive Board is delighted to report that Dr. Anne-Lise Halvorsen of Michigan State University has been selected to be the next Editor for Theory & Research in Social Education (TRSE). The CUFA Executive Board is excited about her vision for the future of the journal. She, along with her new team of associate editors, will begin their term on July 1, 2025.
CUFA is proud of the contributions that TRSE makes to the field of academic research, and is grateful for the leadership of outgoing editor Dr. Wayne Journell’s during his 9-year tenure. Under his leadership, the journal has expanded its scholarly impact, established meaningful mentoring initiatives, and built lasting partnerships across the field of educational research. Created by NCSS partner Educating All Learners Alliance (EALA), the AI Accelerator for Educators is a hands-on virtual professional development program designed to help K-12 educators integrate AI tools into classrooms responsibly and effectively. This program emphasizes inclusivity, focusing on supporting students with disabilities while aligning with the EDSAFE AI Alliance SAFE AI Framework.
