    Nominate a Colleague for a MSCSS Award

    Each year the Middle States Council for Social Studies sponsors numerous awards to recognize the outstanding work by social studies teachers, student teachers, and school programs. Nominations for these awards may come from classroom teachers, professors, supervisors, principals, and local or state council members in the Middle States region. Nominations are currently open and due by December 22, 2024. Submit a nomination now.

    National History Day invites History teachers to nominate themselves for consideration for the 2025 NHD Teacher of the Year Award.  On January 3, 2025, the nomination period closes, and affiliate-level nominees will be chosen to submit additional materials for consideration for the national award. In June 2025, one middle school and one high school teacher will each be presented with the 2025 NHD Teacher of the Year award and will each receive a $5,000 stipend.
