NCSS Interim Executive Director Anton Schulzki wishes you a successful finish to the 2024-2025 school year.

The National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Scott Petri of California. His leadership as a teacher, administrator, and president-elect of the California Council for the Social Studies (CCSS) underscored his profound commitment to social studies education. Dr. Petri’s passion and dedication to fostering an informed and engaged citizenry will be sorely missed. At NCSS, our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, former students, and the entire California social studies community during this difficult time.
