    Erika Lee is the Bae Family Professor of History, Radcliffe Alumnae Professor, and the Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Foundation Director Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America. She researches and teaches the histories of the United States, with emphases on immigration and Asian American history and the histories of race, xenophobia, law, gender, and society.     Marty Meehan was elected to represent the 5th Congressional District of Massachusetts in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1992, where he established a national reputation for his legislative leadership and won praise for his efforts to protect the public from the health risks of tobacco. He was also a central figure in campaign finance reform efforts and a major sponsor of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002. After serving 14 years in Congress, Meehan was appointed chancellor of UMass Lowell in 2007, and later appointed president of the five-campus UMass system. More about Marty.

     

    Christina Soontornvat is the award-winning author of over twenty books for children of all ages, including the beloved Diary of an Ice Princess chapter book series and the bestselling graphic novel, The Tryout. She is the only author to be awarded Newbery Honors for both fiction and nonfiction in the same year. Her account of the Thai Cave Rescue, All Thirteen, received numerous accolades, including the Kirkus Prize for Young People’s Literature. More about Christina.
