    1787 Prize Submissions are due March 31, 2024

    Don't let your students miss this deadline! The 1787 Prize is an essay contest open to all high school students in grades 11-12 for one $2,500 prize. An essay may be submitted with up to three (3) student co-authors. There is a maximum of one (1) submission per high school. Submissions are due March 31, 2024. Learn More.

    Massachusetts Historical Society 2024 Student and Teacher Fellowships

    The Massachusetts Historical Society (MHS) is offering the unique opportunity for K-12 educators and high school students to explore their world-renowned collections. Applications are due by 11:59PM on March 14, 2024.

    • For teachers, we offer fellowships for four weeks of archival research at the MHS with stipends ranging from $3,000-$6,000. One fellowship specifically prioritizes applicants in their first five years of teaching.
    • For high school students, we offer a stipend of $1,000 plus an additional $1,000 for a teacher mentor.
