Share your insights with thousands of your peers at the 104th NCSS Annual Conference! Submit a proposal to present at the largest gathering of social studies administrators, professionals, and K-12 educators. The deadline for proposals is February 29, 2024.
The 1787 Prize is an essay contest open to all high school students in grades 11-12 for one $2,500 prize. An essay may be submitted with up to three (3) student co-authors. There is a maximum of one (1) submission per high school. Submissions are open until March 31, 2034. Learn More.

American Lawyers Alliance (ALA) is looking for the best civics teachers in the country! Recognizing the vital role of teachers, the ALA sponsors its annual National Teacher of the Year Awards, which honors U.S. public and private high school teachers who have made significant contributions in the area of law-related education. Massachusetts Historical Society 2024 Student and Teacher Fellowships
The Massachusetts Historical Society (MHS) is offering the unique opportunity for K-12 educators and high school students to explore their world-renowned collections. Fellowship info webinars will be held on February 7th, 2024, and applications are due by 11:59PM on March 14, 2024.
For teachers, we offer fellowships for four weeks of archival research at the MHS with stipends ranging from $3,000-$6,000. One fellowship specifically prioritizes applicants in their first five years of teaching.
For high school students, we offer a stipend of $1,000 plus an additional $1,000 for a teacher mentor.
“It’s Tricky: American Music & Culture” Educator Summer Institute
