June is Pride Month

June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The "Progress Pride Flag" designed by Daniel Quasar is featured here. The colors represent: red (life), orange (healing), yellow (sunlight/new ideas), green (nature/prosperity), blue (harmony/serenity), violet (spirit), black/brown (people of color), light blue (boy), pink (girl), and white (intersex/neutral/transitioning). Access ways to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community here.

NCSS Advocacy

NCSS recently joined 47 organizations in supporting a statement by the American Historical Association opposing the exclusion of LGBTQ+ history in Florida classrooms.
